Essential for EKH-certified companies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EKH-Courses: Above the Hook &amp; Below the Hook<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EKH offers two EKH-Courses:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Above-the-Hook Inspector<\/em> &ndash; for the examination of cranes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Below-the-Hook Inspector<\/em> &ndash; for the examination of lifting accessories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EKH-Course is provided by Verticaal Transport Centrum (VTC), which specialises in training within the lifting and hoisting industry. After completing the EKH-Course, participants take an examination under the supervision of DNV, the independent certification body. Upon passing, participants receive a personal certificate of competence, which is valid for five years.  <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Refresher Days for Inspectors<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After obtaining the EKH certificate, inspectors continue to demonstrate that they keep their knowledge and skills up to date. The following requirements apply during the five-year validity period: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Further training<\/strong>: Participation in at least one Inspector Day every 2.5 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sample audit<\/strong>: Between the second and fourth year, an independent auditor conducts a sample audit on site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Annual EKH audit<\/strong>: Inspectors must demonstrably and traceably show that they regularly carry out examinations in a range of practical situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong>recertification <\/strong>at the end of the five-year period, this must take place during the final six months of the certificate&rsquo;s validity. After completing the EKH-Course, which focuses on correctly applying the EKH Working Instructions, participants take a theory and practical examination under the supervision of DNV. Upon passing, they receive a personal certificate of competence. DNV also remains involved in the following years through sample audits, annual audits (in cooperation with EKH) and recertification after five years. The validity of each certificate can be transparently verified via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.certcheck.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CertCheck<\/a>.
