CVT

Certification is the instrument par excellence for guaranteeing safety in vertical transport. The Dutch Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs has designated TCVT as the management trust. This means that TCVT is tasked with ensuring that certification in vertical transport is adequately regulated. More specifically, this means that TCVT draws up and manages certification programmes for personnel, equipment and materials. The requirements in respect of safety are described in general in the Dutch Working Conditions Act and the Commodities Act. TCVT translates this into specific requirements and regulations: the TCVT certification programmes. In addition, TCVT updates all personal certificates that have been issued in a register of certificate holders. Certificate holders and clients can log into the site and consult the register. In addition, TCVT manages the Itembank for the personal certification examinations.

TCVT is the chief point of contact for certification of safe vertical transport. TCVT ensures that certification is properly regulated so that safety increases in vertical transport. TCVT draws up standards (programmes) for the inspection of machines and for the professional proficiency (personal certification) of machine operators. TCVT performs its activities on the basis of a covenant with the Dutch Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs.
